Telltale Games Shuts Down

Alright, what the fuck is happening to the world ??? no actually what the fuck happened with telltale??? these fuckers just decided to stop making walking dead episodes ??? what the fuck is wrong with the FUCKING telltale games.

Okay ... I'm sorry... I don't usually start my blogs like this ... I'm just a little bit of ABSOLUTELY LIVID 

So I didn't watch or read or heard any news about telltale games shutting down.... actually I didn't hear about any gaming news lately ... well, today I thought it would be a good day to write a blog and I just heard that telltale game is shutting off about 30 seconds ago, and now I started thinking to commit suicide. one of my best game the walking dead is gone, the telltale had planned to make a game of thrones season 2 and to the walking dead season 4 but because they have "issues" they are going to ignore EVERYTHING 

okay... let me write my blog the right way.

Telltale games did not make a splash since 2012 when they released the walking dead season 1 which received widespread critical acclaim earning over 80 games of the year awards 

The telltale games became the best storytellers within all the gaming, The walking dead season2, The wolf among us, The game of thrones, The tales from borderlands were the next games to follow and while they were technical issues these games all received praise which I think a lot of peoples felt that telltale games were one of the gaming most talented developers but in years since the telltale game formula began to become a problem as bugs and glitches became the norm with all of their games, notably with their recent game titles like guardian of the galaxy the batman enemy within Minecraft story mode they all have the same praise for the story but the same issues with numerous technical issues 

Besides just that the studio was unable to evolve and adapt with gameplay which frustrated many, but in mid-2018 many of us were hopeful as a variety reported that the telltale would be likely moving away from the telltale tool (their game engine) and instead using the established unity game engine but sadly the news has broke that the telltale games closing down .

Telltale put out a statement saying " FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Today the telltale games made a difficult decision to begin a majority studio closure following a year marked by insurmountable challenges. Majority of the company employees were dismissed earlier this morning with a small group of 25 employees staying on to fulfill the company's obligations to its boards and partners. CEO Pete Hawley issued the following statement: its been an incredibly difficult year for telltale as we worked to set the company on a new course Unfortunately we ran out of time trying to get there we released some of our best contents in this year and received a tremendous amount of positive feedback but ultimately that did not translate to sales with a heavy heart we watch out friend leave today to spread our brand of storytelling in the game industry 
telltale will issue further comments regarding its product portfolio in the coming weeks ."

What Exactly Is Thronebreaker ?

The lid has just been blown off right off the newest single player game set in the world of the witcher. Throne breaker the witcher tales is the newest developed game by CD Projekt Red sets off to release in a little over a month on October 23rd.  

I understand that many of you gonna have some really important questions about the game like isn't it just a single player card game. Will Gerald be in the game and will there be any boobs.

Well... just hold your horses I am getting there. There are first things first it is kind of like but not exactly the game was originally announced as the single player component for Gwent but later it became its own standalone game. Its described as narrative driven single player role role-playing game set in the Witcher world where players choices well determinate the outcome of the tale so your choices will result in brunch in varied stories which will add replayability.

The story is written by the same team who wrought the Witcher 3 wild hunts story so we can probably expect our fair share of unusual and interesting characters.

You play the role of a character named Nev Whose story takes place sometime prior to the story of Geralt of rivia, The game will feature a big map to roam around within where players can build their armies at the leader camp which is a base where they can invest resources to construct facilities and train units.

Combat is card-based much like Gwent although the mechanics will overhaul the launched with battles taking place in the battlefield consisting of four rows as opposed to six, We know the campaign will last around 20 hours and we can probably expect a lot more details on the game to be unveiled the closer we get to launch no word yet on whether there would be booze .

Fortnite Cited in 5% Of UK Divorces

Fortnite might ruin your marriage.

Since its launched, last year fortnite seen what can only be described as a meteoric rise to dominance in the games industry. And during that time its been making headlines all across the globe for huge revenue numbers and players figure and tournament prize pools with the recent announcement that the upcoming fall skirmish has a whopping 10 million dollars prize.

However its also been making headlines for other .... you might say less romantic reasons company divorceonline.co.uk has been digging into divorce petitions and its found that the fortnite has been mentioned in 200 divorce petitions since January 1st, 2018 in the UK which is a whopping 5% of the four thousand six hundred sixty five divorce petitions it used for the reports .

NBA 2K19 Disgusting Monetisation

If you thought that the 2k would learn their lesson after the criticism they received for the NBA 2K18 microtransactions then you are about to get benched some NBA 2K19 launched this week for a major platform and to see the game as a microtransaction hellhole would be putting it a little bit mildly .

Just like last year 2K19 has a progression system build all around virtual currency . Virtual currency can be earned through a long and grueling grind or of course you can splash over 100 dollars of cash and get them instantly .

virtual currency is not about how you progress in the game . It is also about how you buy everything from stand provements to cosmetics items absolutely everything and if you thought the ability to buy virtual currency would be hidden away in its own separate menu then it is time you hit the shower .

Then prepare to be sent to the locker room .... You would be wrong is what i am trying to say 

Even when you go to quit the game you are presented with a gap VC burn directly under the quick burn essentially begging you to spend more money . AT that point you well be like " Get ME out of this F****** game i just wanna get out " 

Some NBA 2k19 have noticed that the free to play mobile version only offers purchases up to 60$ purchases of VC while the the full priced home console release lets you make up to 100$ of purchases on VC .

NBA 2K19 and microtransactions are literally more predatory than the free to play mobile version . However if you been keeping up with the games reviews you may have noticed that the game did not get slammed or dunked by the news outlets .

EA Ready To Fight Over Loot Boxes

Recently video game publishers like 2k Valve and Activision have all been scrubbing their of loot boxes for players in belgium . This came after the belgian government declared loot boxes are some sort of gambling back in april of this year . However one bug publisher has has so far refused to comply with the countrys new gambling law and that publisher is EA .

The investigation by the belgium gambling commissioned back in april that Overwatch csgo and FIFA 18 in particular all contained earn a illegal game of chance this meant the the loot boxes needed to be removed ensuring that the miners could not access any gambling elements .

But so far EA has refused to remove the loot boxes from fifa with EA CEO Andrew Wilson defended back in april as being quotes " Developed and implemented ethically and lawfully around the world " Lawfully is just as long as you know the law does not change enroute which in this case they have . One common defend for fifa loot boxes is that they are just the same as paninis footbaal sticker packs . 

How ever some pieces of the belgium gambling commission is not having any of it and he says that the loot boxes are worse than sticker packs quote " Panini prints just as many stickers from every footballer . it is not a roulette between common and rare pictures . With FIFA 18 that is indeed the case " .

Well..... What does this mean to EA ?

well... The belgian government is launching a a criminal investigation  and well likely be prosecuting EA for theyr non complaince .

Yeah thats right EA is likely to be prosecuted for just being greddy and stubborn . As for how the investigation well go nason said the quote " If the investigations makes us wrong we well advocate revising the gambling law so that we an tackle the loot boxes " 

So with the loot boxes reportedly making up 67% of all revenues for EA which is around 3 and a half billion american dollars every single year you can see why EA dont want to concede any ground here because it could set a very unwelcome financially crippling precedent for them .

EA are sticking to their guns and they probably got to court over it i mean you can see that happen and it probably got the finances and the resources to be able to fight this in court is the last thing EA wants to do is to concede that it is gambling and take loot boxes out of free form and to see more card pack are the fee for all the team because once they concede belgium watched up Evans well come along and every one else in europe and even north america from coming along and saying that they are gambling and that 67% revenue that 3 and a half billion dollars every year theyr just no why they want to concede single inch of that because once the cards start falling here they all fell down .

Spider Man Outsells God Of War

Spider man has pretty much smashed god of war . Spider man is now the fastest selling game of 2018 being out far cry which was previous best selling which is a quite achievement if you consider that farcry 5 unlike spider man has launched on multiple platforms with spider man only available on playstation 4 this also meant that the previous best selling exclusive god of war lost its title .

Spider man has sold reportedly twice as much as god of war . Unsurprisingly spider man is now also the fastest selling game in marvel history being out marvel lego super heroes . Although it didnt quite topple batman arkham knight as the fastest selling super hero game

mr.lee. sales figures are only for physical sales here in the UK we can only assume that these sales figures are indicative of how the games been selling in the rest of the world .

So if sales figures are in any indication of success in which they are this games really successful . I know its only just a weekend worth of sales figures but it also includes the pre order numbers and everything that they get carried on as day one sales and to be so ahead of god award who doubled the god of war and that itself was a huge success . Scientist to show how well spider mans done and i also think its indicative of how much of more mass appeal that its got like it appeals youngsters and to old guys like myself .

It seems like its my demand its there for everybody where is god of war was a little bit more mature id say . Also goes to show that Metacritic is not everything because god of war is like in the mid 90s and the spider man in the high 80s so its not all about reveiws when it come to sales figures thats for sure .

Red Dead Redemption 2 Character Info

Every bodys favorite most anticipated game is Red Dead Redemption right now and i well be talking about 

With Red Dead Redemption 2 only a matter of weeks away Rockstar has been up to his old tricks again.

This time they are teasing info of the characters of this game through a series of tweets . The last couple of days rockstar has tweeted over 20 featuring the members of the bundle in the gang along with the quotes of each of the character .

They have featured John Marston and Dutch Van der lende himself and the protagonist this time around Arthur Morgan . As well as what we can assume is every single member of the van der linde gang a feature new characters a the cities like mikka bella and sayde adler who you may recognize from earlier trailers and also featuring more recognizable characters like john masters wife abigail and every ones favorite character of them all a young jack masrston .

These are the just latest drip fed nuggets of info that we have gotten out of rockstar so far about red dead since the games annoncement . Rockstar initially announced the game back in 2016 with a debut trailer coming in october of that year and then nearly a full year later in september 2017 the second trailer with the third following in may of this year .

And we have to wait until august of this year and their two months until the games actual release that we got to see any gameplay whatsoever .

And this is the rockstar way they do know how to build hype and expectation and anticipation for the game . Just about enough information to get you excited the know the people are gonna love the franchises they know the people are gonna buy franchises they know the people are gonna lose this s***

all they have to do is to tease a little bit here tease a little bit there and the internet goes crazy  

Spiderman Graphical Downgrade Anger

First of all what the hell is a graphical downgrade ?

Earlier this week James Stevenson the community direct there behind insomniac . Spiderman hit back on our claims on twitter but they had downgraded the graphical fidelity of their game .

He said that it was not a downgrade at all and that the sun has just moved . You might remember me covering it while things have only escalated from there and fans have taken to twitter and reddit to . Lets just say voice further concerns this sign over puddles in the game being changed.

A comparison image has been doing the rounds showing as  that in 2017 the game had more puddles than it does in 2018. The image comparison clearly shows that that the floor indeed is noticebaly drier .

However some peoples are asking in support the game with dual shockers reporter Guiseppe Nova twetting the following : "If you read allegations of a "Downgrade" for insomniac games do not believe them it is obviously just a change in the position of the sun . Exactly the same happened with Infamous:Second Son and it turned out a visual masterpiece"
